Successful International Hunter Derby and High Performance Hunter

Registered as Vallado, but shown for most of his career under the name Praise, this stallion embodies the modern hunter type and style. In the High Performance Hunter division Praise racked up wins at shows such as Lexington, Devon, and Wellington. Praise excelled as an International Derby horse under Kelly Farmer. With 28 International Hunter Derby competitions in his career, Praise still ranks 16th on the Lifetime Earnings for money won.

As a young stallion he was champion of his 30-day Performance Test and earned scores of 9.25 for character and rideability and no score less than 8. He completed his stallion licensing requirements by qualifying for the 6-year old Young Jumper Championships and competed up to 1.40m. The scope for the jumpers and the style for the hunter ring, Praise has proven himself in both venues.

This scope and athleticism is no surprise as Vallado’s sire is the Voltaire son Now or Never M. With many approved sons to his credit, Now or Never M is well on his way to establishing his own line in Hanoverian breeding. He currently has a very high breeding value of 152 points for jumping on the German FN’s ranking system.

Vallado’s dam was sired by the Thoroughbred sire Saros who comes from a strong line of successful steeplechasers, race winners, and sport horses. The infusion of Thoroughbred blood is essential in warmblood breeding and this particular line has had an excellent influence.

Vallado is producing elegant, modern offspring with great athletic ability and sensitive, rideable minds. The colt Silver Creek’s Victorious was Champion jumper bred colt for the Oldenburg Verband’s North American tour in 2011. Approved son, Silver Creek’s Validation, was Champion of his 70-day Stallion Test with an impressive score of 135 points overall. He has been exported to Germany and won the Consolation Finals at the 2013 FEI World Championships for Young Horses. He is currently competing at 1.40m.
