Multi-Time USEF Dressage Sire of the Year

Contucci won the dressage portion of his 100-Day Test with an impressive 147.11 points, earning six 9’s and overall Class I status. He then successfully showed in Germany, winning a Bundeschampionate qualifier with 9.2 out of 10 possible points. After his importation to the US, Contucci was trained through the FEI levels and always offered a wonderful rideability that we see consistently passed to his offspring.

Sire, Caprimond has been a prolific sire who is ranked near the top of the Jahrbuch Hengste listings for conformation, type, gaits, and rideability. His consistency as a sire earned Caprimond the 1998 Stallion of the Year honors. Contucci’s dam, Laureen, received 9’s on all her gaits at her MPT. Grandsire Lungau is also the damsire of the Olympic, European, and World Cup Champion Salinero. Contucci’s full-sister, EM Capricia, was successfully shown through Intermediaire I.

Contucci was named the 2005 USEF Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year and 2009 USEF Dressage Sire of the Year. His offspring are successfully winning at Breed Shows and Dressage Shows from Training through Grand Prix with amateur, junior, and professional riders. Contucci has sired the Foal Champion at the prestigious Dressage at Devon twice and has numerous offspring winning championships at Breed Shows around the country. Cabana Boy (ds. Bordeaux) was the 2007 & 2008 USEF Young Horse National Champion, the 2009 USEF Developing Horse National Champion, and third place finisher at the 2010 USEF Intermediaire National Championships. In 2013, Con Dia (ds. Cor Noir) won the Fourth Level AA USDF National Championships. In 2014, Chasing Wonder (ds. Diwan) was Reserve Champion at the Region 1 Intermediaire I Open Championships. Contucci has numerous other FEI competitors to his credit including Calimar, Caruso, Cash Advance, and Carmel Crème and is an excellent choice to sire FEI horses for both professionals and amateurs.
