Five time USEF Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year

Royal Prince was Reserve Champion at both his 30- and 70-Day Performance Tests, earning 10’s for rideability and walk, and 9’s for trot, canter, and willingness to work. As a five-year-old, he won the East Coast Selection Trials for the World Championships for Young Horses with an unprecedented score of 9.82 and finished in fourth place at the World Championships, the highest American finish to date. Royal Prince won the BLM Third Level Reserve Championship. In 2009, they were ranked fourth for the AHS Hanoverian USDF All-Breeds Awards. Royal Prince showed successfully through Prix St. Georges.

Royal Prince’s sire, Rohdiamant, was a highly successful Grand Prix dressage competitor who was short-listed for the U.S. Olympic Team with Lisa Wilcox. Grandsire Rubinstein I also competed at the Grand Prix Level and is known for the excellent rideability of his offspring. Royal Prince’s dam, Piri Piri, is by the influential Thoroughbred stallion Prince Thatch xx. Piccolino, by Prince Thatch, helped secure the Team Gold for Germany at the 2003 European Dressage Championships and placed sixth individually.

Royal Prince’s offspring show their sire’s elegance, refinement, rideability, and movement. From 2008 through 2012, Royal Prince was named the USEF Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year. In 2012, Royal Ramiro finished the year as Champion of the USDF Dressage Sporthorse Breeding Mature Horse Stallion rankings. In 2014, Reebok had multiple wins at Fourth Level, consistently scoring above 70%. Royal Heir competed at the USDF National Finals to a Reserve Champion finish at Second Level. Royal Tribute commandingly won the USEA East Coast Young Event Horse Championships for 5-Year Olds in 2011 with a score of 91%, evented to Intermediate Level, and is now winning at Third & Fourth Level with scores in the mid 70’s. In the Hunter Breeding ring, Rolex R has multiple Hunter Breeding 2-Year Olds and Best Young Horse awards to his credit.
